NO-TILL &
LESS WASTE
We use no-till farming practices at the Lightwood Larder farm. This helps us keep our soil biology happy and helps reduce the amount of work we do to grow your food! Healthy soils mean less disease, less pest pressure and less work.
All our plant waste eventually goes back into our soil. By taking the plant waste and letting it decompose on-site, we can create our own compost to grow more veggies for you!
CONNECTION
TO LAND
Lightwood Larder has the privilege of operating on Melukerdee Country (Glen Huon) in Lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to past, present & emerging Traditional Custodians of this amazing land.
At an altitude of 413m and with a direct line of sight to Kunanyi, Lightwood Larder aims to protect the landscape we grow your food on. Knowing we operate our farm on unceded land, we take part of our income and Pay The Rent.
GOOD FOOD
FOR ALL
Eat healthy, eat local.
Having access to food is a human right, which is why Food Sovereignty is more important than ever in a world where major supermarket prices are getting higher. We try and keep our prices affordable so more people can eat healthy.
Healthy, nutrient-dense food can help improve quality of life. If you’re struggling to access food, let us know and we’ll try to send some vegetables your way.
